Beat the blues...by eating!
Who doesn't love a hamburger and French fries or a big piece of chocolate cake? But research has shown that a diet high in saturated fat and refined sugar is linked to depression. With the days getting shorter and less daylight to brighten our mood, eating healthy is more important that ever! Check out what you should be eating to help maintain and stabilize your mood:

1)Get your B’s. B vitamins are essential to the health of your brain and body. Foods packed with B vitamins can help balance chemicals in the brain. Get your fill of dark leafy greens, citrus juices, and beans to stock up on B vitamins!

2)Complex Carbs. We aren't talking about Wonder Bread here. Complex carbs like sweet potatoes and brown rice, are a great way to boost your levels of serotonin!

3)Omega 3’s.Get your omega fatty acids from salmon, tuna, flaxseed, walnuts, and canola oil to relieve symptoms of anxiety or depression.

Stay happy this season and load your fridge up with mood boosters NOT busters!!
