Well I'm back to make an effort on my food diary, I have had a 7.4lb gain since the start of may but I'm ok with that, we found out a few weeks ago that we are having a new addition to the family which is news that we are both overjoyed about, I know now is not the time to try to lose weight but I do need to keep an eye on how much I gain, being overweight means that I need to gain less then someone who was previously at a normal weight and this weight gain needs to be gradual not all within the first few weeks lol.

So, according to certain sites the weight I've already put on has gone on a bit too fast (I'm nearly 12wks) but not to lose heart as I can slow the gain down by making the right choices, Overall my food intake has been a mixture of "good" and "bad", lots of salad and fruit with some crisps and biscuits thrown in (not together lol), but my main issue is portion sizes!

I do not intend to deprive myself of anything I want to eat but I do want to make sure that I'm eating sensibly, I need to find a calorie intake level that fits well with me to provide me with the extra energy my body needs to function and I know I only need to increase this by 200 calories in the last few weeks.

At the moment my activity level is very low as we have been advised to rest as much as possible till we have past 16wks due to issues that may arise from an operation I had to have a few years ago, I know this has not helped to keep the weight gain low but when needs must! But this is only a temporary thing and although I know in a few weeks I will not be climbing mountains, I will atleast be able to walk a few miles a day :)
