It's been a good but busy weekend. Hubby and I went out on a date on Friday night and had shrimp alfredo- the worst thing you can eat, but but it was good and I had maybe a 1/4 of my plate. The rest of the weekend was all healthy eating, except had 2 little goodies this morning. I sing in our church choir and am on a vocal team rotation once a month, which requires singing on Sat. night (added the extra service to help the congestion on Sunday) and for 2 services on Sunday. So there are goodies on Sunday morning and after all that singing and getting up early I am hungry! Other than that, it was overall healthy. I will eat something good for dinner tonight too.

Unfortunately I am not going to make my 139 goal by the end of the month. So I guess I have to push it back to in October. My weight was at 142 most of the week. I guess my body likes this weight. I will really have to push through it to get it to go under this. My excercise was down this week- still 3.5 hours, but it was not my four hour goal. I was really tired this week and not as motivated. However I did still do my triathlon training. I will head out on a walk or run tonight and then do my brick training of biking and swimming tomorrow.

My chart is all over the place, so I really need to get it back under control. It once had been so steady in loss, and the last few months I have just bounced around back and forth between 3 lbs. If I could just stop sabotauging myself on the dinners out or events out, I think that would be very helpful. It is truly my weak spot though I think. The other thing I have noticed is I have been back to taking bites standing up. When I made myself not do this for a week, I saw how many little things I wanted to take a bite of here and there when serving stuff to the kids. I need to stop this and say "no more to bites standing up!!" That will probably save a few good calories every day! Hope you all have a healthy week ahead.

Good job in using portion control when having a not so healthy treat! I still think you having been gaining muscle since you changed your workout routine. Don't worry, you'll get to 139 for October, I believe in you!

Great job not eating your whole alfredo plate. Two goodies on a Sunday is not going to ruin your goals. Hey, 3.5 hr of working out is still execellent! You're only human, there are going to be times when weekly goals cannot be met, but as long as you're sticking to the overall process. You'll get there. =) I noticed that the harder I am to myself the more sabatoging occurs. Be kind to yourself. You deserve it! Great job on the exercise and the 5-6 days of healthy eating! Have a great week.

Yes, great job resisting eating the whole plate of Alfredo. I learned how to make that in a cooking class I took a while back. It's so simple but with it being mostly whipping cream and parmesan cheese, it sure isn't diet friendly! It's ok to indulge once in a while, though. I have this theory about weight loss. I seem to have "set points" where my body resists getting past and it usually ends up being at weights were I previously dieted down to. Were you ever at 142 for a period of time in your past? It would be interesting to know if there is any truth to this little theory of mine.

Hmm, that is interesting Evelyn. I was at 143 for a long time before right before I had my first child. I usually can't get down too much more than that it seems unless I am extremely focused. The lowest I have managed to get down was to 136, but that was before I had my third child. Since then can't seem to get lower. Well, I could if I really, really was perfect in eating, but I am not.
