SuzanneJ's Journal, 04 October 2010

I binged and purged yesterday. It was a very stressful weekend but I shouldn't have given in. I have been so strong all summer. I am so close to my weight goal. I only need to hang on another 60 days. I am not quiting my diet, so I haven't failed, but I am having a hard time keeping positive.

I stopped dieting hard because of my operation, and I've not got back into the habit. Eating is a habit - good eating or bad. Emotions play a large part in eating. So do things like the flu, lack of sleep, and feeling under the weather.

I am feeling down because, I've lost the weight, but I can't find clothes to fit. I am below the 'plus size' but not into the regular size. My jeans are hanging off my hips. My fall clothes are all made for a size 20 - I am now a 14 in pants, or a medium in tops. No more 2X but don't want to buy anything new, because I expect to be a 12 by Christmas. I don't want to waste money on clothes that I'll only wear for 2 months.

I resolve to do a good job on the new challenge, and shed those last 20lb by Christmas.

I totally agree with jsfantome. And for the buying of new clothes, be proud that you've gone down so many sizes. You'll feel so much better in clothes that fit you better. Don't think of it as a waste of money but think of it as a reward for all the hard work you've done. You don't have to spend a lot of money, just enough to get by until you reach your goal! And please talk to someone, this is a serious issue.
