Overate big time last night. I think spending all day at picnic with so much food and ceremonial-like candy table at my beckoning -- lurid colors, myriad shapes, crystal containers, and all -- was too overwhelming. And by evening, I succumbed. Unfortunately, I had taken the opportunity to snag a bag of loot for myself, hopeful that the motto "one a day" would hold steadfast. Alas, the entire bag of candy, or what's left of it, I should say, now lies at the bottom of my refuse bin.

Also, I did not eat enough throughout the day, ironically. The food choices at the picnic were sparse, made up of sausages, hot dogs, and Barbecue chicken that just looked too rich at the time. But I should have made due, although I wasn't that hungry YET! If only I had left the picnic and gone directly to Carl's Jr. for my favorite Charbroiled BBQ Chicken Sandwich, I would not have lost the ability to stand and draw from those glorious paintings afterwards. But my low back began to hurt, and then I could not feel satiated until late at night.

Live and Learn! I must stop trying to counterbalance a day of gluttony with a day of fasting. Not smart thinking, Deb! And you know better! I must eat when I'm hungry. I will lose this weight if I just continue steadily down the ramp. Today is a new day, and I will be sensible.

Lastly, I WILL NOT SKIP DAYS OF WRITING OR PAINTING ANYMORE. EACH DAY IS A WORK DAY, WITH VERY FEW DAYS OFF!!! THE VACATION IS OVER. GET BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE HAPPIER!!!!!
