Well I'm back in Challenge Weight Loss Group. By her scales Im 17.13 thats 251 lb so I.m going to record that. I'm going to write in all my measurements into my profile and to encourage me. I'll be measured again in 6 weeks. Meet lovely woman out there, she was in the group last time, her daughter name is Lisa, she lost weight last time so rejoined to lose more. Told her about site hope she looks it up.

Group leader said I'm lacking water, so need to up my intake. (will have to check spelling of dyhredrated). So now its a start of new food choices, they advocate lots of ptotein.

WEIRDEST THING .

The weirdest thing happened this morning, I got up as usual at 7.30 am, got sons up, made my cup of coffee, went into my sitting room and picked up a COLLEGE BOOK to study. It took a few seconds to realise I DONT HAVE TO STUDY ANYMORE, EXAMS FINISHED. I had such a HABIT of doing exactly that since May.

HABIT, As I realised what I was doing, I remembered something that a Fatsecret buddy said when I joined, they said if you do anything repeatly for 2 weeks it becomes a habit and easy to do. That is so true.

Since I have become better, I find it hard to stay in bed after 7.30am even on my "days off", unlike when I was ill last year, (Last yr because I had severe problems with my knee and found walking hard and painful, I had severe panic & stress attacks for about 6 mths, I barely left house, slept on sofa all day, I could not stay awake, If someone even rang my phone or knocked at door I would come out in a rash and my heart felt like it was jumping out of me),so I'm enjoying this "I Have To Get up Feeling" still. SO I'm proud of these new HABIT'S I have formed.

I'm now going to culitvate and learn a new HABIT, from next I'm going to get up, do what I have to do around houe and then start walking every week day to my gym, it is about 3 miles from me, exercise 30 mins, have my swim and jaccuzi and then go to the Cork Univeristy to practice my Spanish. I am waiting until next week as this week I'm re-organising the house.

Thank you for sharing! This is wonderful and encouraging! I completely understand the HABIT thing as I've just stopped smoking a couple of weeks ago. Here in the US there are these funny commercials about learning to drive without smoking and learning to drink coffee without smokeing... they are pretty funny. The point is that habits are sometimes a HUGE part of our lives, sometimes for good and many times for the bad. You have encouraged me to start a new habit! I bought an exersize video 'Hip Hop Abs' I've had it since the end of last week but haven't even opened it. My new habit will be to DO my video each day when I get home from work before the rest of my family gets home (this way I won't have an audience :-) Thank you for leading by example! Aymee

Carmel, that is so true. I am working on the habit of exercising everyday. I am hoping that it soon becomes second nature. congrats on finishing school and coming so far since your injury! That is so encouraging and proves that you can do anything you set your mind through. Have a great day!!

When it comes to habits I have a general rule that seems to work. If you can keep doing something for 21 days in a row (or however often you engage in the behavior you want to turn into a habit) you will form the habit. If you want to break a habit then doing it just once will stymie all of your progress so far. Keep up the good work. I'm certain you'll do well. :)

Spain, my dream would be to live in the heat. Who knows, maybe some day. No I need to learn the language for college next year, Salsa, always loved watching but I always think of Cuba, there was a film at one time and it had Kris Krisofison in it, about a dancing school, love the film and the male dancer was Cuban, Cant rememer the name of it, (any idea anyone), it was brilliant.
