Time to get off the Cabbage Diet for a bit. 18 days. 12lb, .66 a pound a day. I got a movie about the Atkins diet last night. I think I am going to give it another try. I did loose almost a pound a day for 10 days.

My goal is to be 165 in 4 weeks. I guess I won't be there because I stalled for a couple weeks, and I don't see that I can loose 29lb in 30 days. Maybe in 6 weeks.

I am also starting to work out - That will effect whether I loose weight or gain. I may gain weight, but lose inches.

Hi Suzanne, are you recording everything you eat? If so then you are eating under 500 calories a day. That worries me. The weight loss is awesome but don't starve yourself. Please be careful diet hopping. You really need to find something that will work for you for life, not a temporary fix to your weight problem. Sorry if I am preaching at you. I just want you to find an eating plan that you can stick with and incorporate those eating habits into the rest of your life so you can lose the weight & keep it off. Now what is this movie - I want to watch it!

Don't let it worry you. I have always eaten like this. Not everyone needs 1500 calories. The Cabbage Soup Diet is only suppose to be used 'short term' ... Preaching is good...as long as you have the research and stats to prove what you are saying is true, and not just 'parroting' dogma. The fact is, I do very well on 500 - 1000 calories, instead of looking at the calories, look at how much nutrients I get in a 2 - 3 day cycle. I am getting everything - minus the bread. Without bread and starch in your diet, it is very hard to get those last 500 - 1000 calories. Thanks for the concern. I am healthy. My hair is healthy. My skin is clear. I exercise by walking briskly up to 30 min a day. My eyes are clear. In fact - I am eating better than I did when I got fat in the first place :)

I have the same thing happen in my diet and weight loss: I eat to fullness, and have a difficult time getting past 1000 calories--sometimes even getting that high of a number. I think it has more to do with nutrients than numbers, as well. I also "look" phenomenal now: great skin, hair, nails, eyes...and the weight is falling off. Yay! Main stream eating took the life right out of me! Now that I eat differently, I can't imagine eating that way again. But I know what a slippery slope that is...one mouth-hungry taste, and I could be addicted to those chemicals again.
