Happy New Years Eve! Luckily, we're just laying low this evening after too much partying, dinners out, etc already this holiday season. Still not ready to face the scale, but back on track & ready to conquer the new year with 1 significant diet resolution. Knowing all of my FS friends will have suggestions & plan to do some research too. Sugar! Its my nemesis! Ate too much this holiday then back in the craving it trap. So, do I try (again) to give it up completely? And, what does that even mean as it's in so many foods, both added, naturally &/or as a sugar substitute? Or, do I allow myself small amounts in moderation... & again what does that mean? 2013 -- my year (hopefully it won't take it all) to sort it out!

Off to my a.m. workout this morning, then errands & work to catch up on this afternoon. And, on this eve to the new, I will be praying, breathing, logging, posting & expressing another one day, meal, bite, moment, emotion at a time! xoxox

I would just try to make most days sugar free. Having a little every now and then shouldn't cause you to fall back. Just keep portioning out your serving first. Happy New Years Eve!

Sugar and its "substitutes" (glucose, fructose, corn syrup, maltodextrin, etc.) are hidden in so many of our packaged foods! It is very difficult to eliminate sugar completely from your diet. I try to just eat non-processed foods (very hard because or the teenagers I live with!) and avoid traps like cookies, donuts, cakes, etc. Those are obvious sugar laden foods, but once I have one, I want to have 2, then 3..... When I want sweet, I reach for fruit. It really helps! We are here with you and support you! Have a wonderful New Year's Eve and here's to 2013!

Welcome back Angel Ruth and Happy New Years Eve to you too! Do you realize there are only 358 days until Christmas 2013 now! (LOL, I had to tease my OCD partner!) I know you'll find a safe (sane) way to recover from the sugar cravings - you've proven it already. So be good to yourself, smile, and Take Care of You!
