A Short Walk in My Shoes:

Alright I went shopping today! It was fun and I found a really nice scale (not nice to my body weight however..definitely about 5 lbs more than I thought...which means I'm not going to be changing my weight until I am down to 140 on the new scale! No weigh-ins for me for awhile...dang it!) The scale measures my body fat, water, and obviously weight using some kind of electric signal! And I bought a measuring tape! So here are my measurements...hopefully I'm doing them in the right spot! Do they look right? Anyone have advice?

Bust: 36.5
High Bust: 35.25
Waist: 29
Hips: 38
Left Arm: 11.5
Right Arm: 11.75
Left thigh: 25.25
Right Thigh: 25.25

Diet Calendar Entry for 25 April 2008:

Congrats on the new scale! I've heard others who have bought new scales say they went back and changed their historical weights to reflect the new scale so it didn't end up showing them with a gain. Perhaps that will be better than not weighing for the next 5 lbs? It doesn't so much matter that your measurements are done in the "right" place, just that you do them consistently in the same place so you can track the changes. Tracking the inches lost is very encouraging!

Like evelyn said the key thing is measuring in the same place. I think for your arms you're supposed to measure at the highest peak - so if you had your arm flexed like you were showing off your muscles you'd measure your bicep like that. and thighs just the largest part. bust is obvious! And I think your chest gets measured right underneath your breasts.
