VJ82's Journal, 15 March 2019

I have attached my diary for one month here and the weight report. My weight is stable at 106 Kgs for the last two to three months. Although I am not starving, I record all my entries here. I walk at 4 Kmph roughly for 20 minutes to 1 hour every day. And I bicycle for 1.5 hours on week end. This is my exercise routine.

Can you all please provide some suggestions to help?

28 Feb - 105.4 Kg
26 Feb - 106 Kg

Any suggestions welcome please. As per the last column in the report, I should have a calorie deficit. But it is not contibuting to my weight loss. Will a regular calorie deficit of average 500 calories per day not help reduce weight?

Yes it will so you can't be running at a deficit. I'd say start weighing as much as you can for a more accurate calorie intake and have another look at the settings for calories burned. Good luck.

Please check some ketogenic pages, helps to decrease any hunger or cravings while low carb intake

Thanks for your comments. So I take it that the report is not reflecting my body conditions. Hmm. Let me try adjusting the settings. Keto diet felt too aggressive. I did not want to end up with a crash diet which I cannot sustain and bring back more weight once I stop it. I think there is not much I can do now than to start a Keto.

I'd definitely recommend lowering your calories. are you male or female? I've been your weight at 1500 a day was my magic number. now I'm smaller I go for 1300-1200.

Thanks Yasmine. I am a male.

I will take that as a good suggestion. I see your profile and it is impressive. You have come from where I am to such a healthy weight. It is truly remarkable. I will stick to 1500 calories for the next month. I understand from my report that I need to recalibrate. 1500 seems a good place to start.

I'm only 5ft 2, I wouldn't recommend 1500 for a man. 1900-1800 perhaps. I'd definitely have a play with them, try 1900 for 1 week and weigh before any treat days, after loo. And thanks! It's been 20months so far. It's not a short journey, but so much easier than expected, I wish I'd done it years ago!
