GlennM's Journal, 22 June 2010

Doing well. I saw my therapist for the last time today, he is moving near Boston to be with his girlfriend. The weather was hot and sunny today and now it has clouded up and it is raining lightly. My leg tendon is still too sore - a little bit anyway - enough because it is like a pull that I can not exercise yet by walking or biking. I did order the anti-inflammatory pills I mentioned yesterday last evening. The next few days it is supposed to be about 90* or close to it. Dieting going well, I am not overeating...
Calorie intake for Monday June 21, 2010: 1890.
Vocabulary word for the day Tuesday: four-flusher -noun- in poker, a player who bluffs. (North American word, origin not stated in dictionary, but derivative of four-flush: a verb that means to bluff and also a noun: a poker hand of little value).

Thanks Glenn, I would like to look into Whole Health myself. I have taken vitamins for a very long time and am a big believer in them. I rarely get sick and am around small kids and rude coughing, sneezing adults all the time. I also feel marvelous even after all the surgeries I have had in the past 6 months. I bounce back quickly from everything. I had dental surgery on my gums and the dentist said he wished all his patients healed like I did. I cannot speak highly enough for taking "proper" vitamin supplements. I'm sure I don't get what I need in my foods with all the processing and stuff they do to it today. The foods are sometimes really destroyed in the way they are packaged or prepared. Our weather here has been horribly hot. Very, very humid too. We cannot even stay outside for more than 20 minutes or we are sweating or just plain HOT. No rain for about 3 days, and things dry up fast here. There is a storm brewing out in the waters, hope it brings us some rain (but not a tropical storm or worse). Thanks for stopping by my journal Glenn. Have a good night and the calories are great. I wish I could get mine down lower but I really am not able to, I just get hungry. Oh well, slow but sure. Talk to you tomorrow.

Yes, vitamins do help. I am going to take that anti-inflammatory supplement. I take B,C,D, and selenium and Omega 3 regularly, I really need to take a Multivitamin too and I get lax on that. You're right too much of our food now is overprocessed and things are going up in the store faster than wages. Fruits and vegetables tend to be on the expensive side up here in New England. Hope your weather cools off...

Hi Glenn! Sorry to hear that you are still suffering from the leg injury and really hope that the situation improves. It must be very stressful on a both conscious and subconscious level. Interesting comment about the dating site, it figures of course. I sometimes hear someone say that they have heard of or gotten positive results though. It's good that you seem to be getting out and around and getting some good fresh air in the mountains. I'm looking forward to seeing your name up in the lights in the near future so keep plugging away at your writing as you have been. If you are determined, work hard, and have faith, it's just a matter of time. Keep up the good work buddy!

On the vitamin theme, I take Calcium with D, multivitamin for women over 50 (shhhh, don't tell), Omega 3, Vitamin D, C, B-Complex. The Calcium with D and Omega 3 I take in the AM and the PM. I really feel they help my immune system and also help in healing. It's been trying to rain all afternoon, but nothing but a trickle. Will have to water my outdoor plants tomorrow if we get no rain tonight. Yes, food here is off the wall. The better I try to eat, the more it costs. I go to a really large outdoor market for my fruits and vegetables. The are much more reasonable and the food is fresh. Meat is very expensive. We buy fish at a Whole Foods store as it is VERY fresh, but...... VERY expensive. I love fish, but can't afford it as much as I would like. Well, Glenn, take care of that leg and have a really good evening. Talk to ya tomorrow.
