pretty happy with my day today. should have eaten breakfast when i got up but im not hungry in the morning and we were running late because we slept until 1230!

didnt enter all my food as i ate it today, waited until just now and im pleasently surprised to see that i stayed under my goal. brother and sil brought tortilla chips that had cottonseed oil in them so we both chose not to have chips (which was for the better) i dipped my carrot sticks in the guacamole and put some on my burger. with a few bits of potato salad and about a 3rd of my (no cheese) turkeyburger left on the plate, i was full so i stopped eating. its such a simple thing but im proud of that.
we are going to the gym later so i am going to have a leftover turkey burger and some watermelon.

didnt drink very much water today. did put out water at the bbq in addition to the crystal light and hawaiian punch.

i learned that i did not miss the cheese on the burger at all. probably because turkey and cheese dont go as well together as beef and cheese, or ham and cheese etc... soeme things just call for cheese, turkey (and seafood also) just doesnt. good to know!

You're right about some foods just not needing cheese, like Turkey. My problem is that I always want cheese, lol. I only eat light cheese but still, it's not hard to overeat with cheese... Anyways, I envy your sleeping in. I can't remember the last time I got to sleep in :P

oh i love cheese, i just decided to save cheese for my cheese sticks that you will see most days on my food calendar. in the middle of a burger just isnt worth the calories. (i chose to have bacon on my burger) i really liked the turkey burger leftover i brought home. i should have had my mom bbq grill more so i would have easy protein for meals. i had it with just a bit of salsa on it. super yummy.

I still haven't tried the turkey burger but I have heard great things about them. What would you compare their taste to?

i got the savory herbs one from jenny-o. i dont know what to compare it to, its just flavorful ground turkey. just be carefull not to over cook them. (my mommy did a great job with that) whats great is they come packaged in 2s so you can just take out 1 package if the rest of the family is having beef you can have turkey without too much hassle. i bring them with me to bbqs often and ask who will eat them, then give that many to the grill master. leftovers stay in the freezer.
