I’m having the same problem! I’m 37 and weight is not budging no matter what I do 😡. In my younger days, I would just trade chips for fruit as a snack and weight would drop off easily. Now I’ve cut out everything and am exercising regularly and my weight hasn’t changed. I guess we should just keep at it- there are many benefits to a healthy lifestyle besides weight loss. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Heya! Let me cry with ya! Lol. Not really cause I been here too many times. Had a great weekend out of town for a Free Cage Fighting event and hotel breakfast, stop at a friends restaurant to eat and drink too much .... well you get my drift. But don’t let it get you down! We will both pay for these slow loss times but we are also learning what it takes to get this done and WE WILL! Now pull yo self up by those boot straps and get this done girl! Go GET Go TAKE what you want. It’s not free but you can do this! 😎

I'm 74 So am well acquainted with slowed metabolism! When I wish to speed weight loss I have one day a week where I only eat 500 calories. Lost 2 kgs this week 😊😊😊. Worth a try!

You will get there, perhaps a tad bit slower than a teenager, but that is to be expected. Nevertheless your weight isn't nearly as challenging as some. You look great.

Tell me about it... :( I'm in my 40ies, and although it wasn't too many kgs I wanted to lose, it seems a slow process. I lost the first 3 really quick (I had also gained them really quick), but the last 2, which had been gained over a couple of years seems to much more stubborn.

Sorry but it only gets worse - you just have to work that little bit harder (I'm 49). I was tiny in my 20s and then gained during an unhappy marriage and left when I was just hitting the menopause and it's a struggle. However, it is possible, you just have to accept that your body isn't as acquiescent as it used to be, it takes a little more cajolery. You will get there MC3, just be patient with yourself and don't compare - been there (youth), done that (past is past), got a great present (experience and knowledge) and future (so much new stuff to enjoy) - you know the drill!

Be strong! Even if the weight is slow to come off there are other goals to achieve! Just feeling better is a goal :) you could measure your body or just see if you can go up the stairs without panting xD

I feel your pain. My heaviest weight gain actually started when I turned 44 and just seemed to steadily increase. By 55, I gained 30 lbs. The thing they don't tell you is that perimenopause you can gain a lot of weight during perimenopause and that it can actually start at 38 and go on for years....beyond 50. My only suggestion is to keep as active as you can. Walking never helped me, so I'm trying to get back into doing some kind of aerobic activity every night. The problem is the 90 degree weather here is killing us, so I don't really exercise like I'd like to. I don't bother with a gym, because I know I'm too lazy to drive back out after work. I find YouTube videos and exercise to those. My favorite is "Live, Love, Party." (It's a zumba group with lots of music to choose from.)

At this point, the only comparison I do is when I look in the mirror. I don't look at previous pics or how anyone else is doing. My competition view is to be better than I was yesterday. We all feel down, the thing is to not stay there. You got this!!

yes we change as we mature, it takes more effort. but we can do this! add a little exercise and see if that does not only perk up your diet plan but I find it really makes me feel better overall. 60+ years!
