Still struggling due to my illness has really compromised my ability to walk like i was before. So, I try to watch the food more closely. It is all still Whole Foods Plant-based, but sometimes I still eat too much for the calories I burn. Just read two important books that involved food, though not specifically written for that purpose. THE YEAR OF LESS by Cait Flanders. I thought was just about shopping/decluttering, but turns out she also had addictions to food & alcohol. So what an inspirational book, about how she turned her life around. The other is A RIVER IN DARKNESS by Ishikawa. Is actually about life in North Korea in the 50s/60s but talk about an enforced diet! Not the way to lose, but the scarcity of food is the opposite of what we have here. I have read before that in time of war or other times (like this) where there was a scarcity of food, heart disease & diabetes (type 2) were almost non existent. Something to consider....Meanwhile I keep trying.
