So it begins again. I had 2 weeks of weight loss, and so now my weight has to go up. I intermittent fasted this week. I ate 1300 calories to 1400 calories a day. I got my protein targets because I'm using protein shakes while eating one meal a day. I got my fiber. the only thing I didn't do was exercise as much as normal because the weather was shit. even still, I managed to meet my minimum riding Target and was only 2 miles off for my weekly walking. naturally, I had to gain 6/10 of a pound. I don't understand why with as little calories as I am taking in versus what I allegedly need to just sit on a couch and exist let alone the exercise that I'm doing on top of it I didn't see weight just melt away this week. I can only imagine that I'm retaining water from the salt in a slice of pizza that I ate for dinner last night after a week of fasting and protein shake and greens and beans and chicken even with that, I still came in under 1500 calories for yesterday. But I guess the fact that it tasted good was reason enough for my body to just flood itself with fluid. I really don't know how I could possibly cut calories anymore with out also depriving myself of the nutrients that I need to stay healthy. I need protein because I'm exercising. I need vitamins and minerals, and I can't get all that from supplements. I need fiber because I'm trying to maintain a healthy biome in my gut, so I shoot for 30 g of protein a day and at least 120 g of protein a day. This is so damn frustrating. next Friday is my birthday and I was planning on behaving all week but then getting a hoagie for my birthday to celebrate. I don't think I'll be able to do that because the moment I take a bite out of a food that is pleasurable my body instantly gains weight. maybe I'll be able to have it after I weigh in on Saturday morning but I'm going to have to continue to suffer through Friday night and get weighed Saturday morning before eating anything in order to see if maybe by some miracle I have managed to actually drop any significant amount of weight despite the enormous effort that I put in. if this doesn't work maybe I will just go full starvation and stop eating till I get the results that I want. Fuck it.
