Wisco Soul's Journal, 04 February 2024

I have made it for a 7 day streak of logging my food everyday. At first it was tough to get back into the habit of it, but now it's second nature. I'm sure from the last time I weighed in that I was up some because I was feeling wretched. But getting back into my routine of logging food, keeping a 500 calorie deficit, and intermittent fasting has really helped my body....I know.... shocker, right? 😁. I had quit the intermittent fasting per my neurologist's instructions, but after 3 months it was hurting more than helping. The IF has actually improved my neurological issues, and has started to heal my gut.

But the best part of the week was that I got out and went walking again, not much like I used to before the health-hostage situation, but still, it was awesome. I think it's been since August . I've just been walking the poochie around the yard in case I collapse, so my husband or neighbors can help. So it was really lovely to walk down the street and get in a mile over the course of the day. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

So glad to see you doing better! I love I.F. and actually ate that way growing up. Then doctors convinced me it wasn't healthy so I changed and it didn't help me either. I don't think it's ever a good idea to eat when you are not really hungry. So glad you can walk again!!! Awesome!

Thank you, Morticia. Yeah, sometimes the things our doctors recommend are great in theory, but not so great in practice. I hope you both have recovered from the last bout of COVID. It's been so bad with that and the flu around here.
