Wow, you are doing awesome! I have been really struggling, especially with sugar. Any tips that have helped you with this and how do you handle weekends? They are the hardest for me. Keep up the hard work you are so disciplined and it is paying off. Great job!

Thank you Jlg56. It's taken a long time for me to figure out what works for me. I have not always been so disciplined. Counting carbs (about 100 carbs a day) and eating high protein foods really helped me loose 58lbs. I also try to incorporate more clean foods. I stay completely away from packed snacks such as Fiber One. They contain a lot of unnatural sugar and carbs. Eating plain oatmeal with unsweetened vanilla almond milk and protein powder really fills me up in the morning. It also keeps me full so I don't snack as much. Eating a high protein diet is hard because your body is use to carbs. I slowly trained by body (about 2 months) to not crave carbs or sugary snacks and eat more fruits and veggies while staying under 100 carbs. It's not easy but with discipline and will power anyone can do it.

58 pounds loss, that is awesome! I have decided to concentrate on stopping the sugar bingeing & replacing with clean foods. I really hate counting calories & when I get frustrated by it I turn to junk & sabotage everything that I've done good with. Do you count calories too or just carbs? I agree with discipline and determination anything is possible! Thanks for the help & have a great day!

I count carbs instead of calories. I just worked for me. We all have our good and bad days. I probably sound like a cliché but if you find yourself eating junk you really you shouldn't let it get to you. Just start over again or work harder the next day. My weight has been a yo-yo but if I don't log everything I eat, I will gain weight. Ice Cream has always been my weakness. If it's a flavor I like and it's in the house I'll eat it. My kids of course love ice cream. I try to keep a flavor I don't like in the house for when they have a craving.
Honestly the hardest part is logging all your food into fatsecret. If you can do that honestly daily and count your carbs you will see results.
