So glad I didn't let Monday's (official recorded weight for challenges) destract me. Normally in the past if I had a 3 pound gain from one week to another I would have just thrown my hands up. Hence why in June 2009 my chart strated shooting up, not continuing down. I felt the gain had to be water retention because of all the walking I did at Ft Worth (probably 5 miles just on Friday and Saturday each). From my car to the barn where my son's heifer was stalled was 1/2 a mile according to my GreatTrainer app. I walked back and forth to my car numerous times, sometimes carrying heavy objects. I am taking a pedometer with me this weekend when we go to accurately record my steps (well as accurate as the pedometer might be). I also stood on concrete all weekend so by the time I got home Sunday I hardly could get rings on and off. Monday I watched everything I ate, had protein shakes for dinner, light protein filled lunch and then either a small portion of the dinner I made family or another protein shake. I cutoff my eating time at 8 everynight, with goal of 7 most.

Today I hit the 170s again. Barely there but sooooooo good to see that 179.8 again. Now hopefully over the course of February I can keep up the momentum and get back to the 160s by Spring Break. It will be a challenge as we have stock shows through February 12th, so early mornings, late night and quick foods during the day. Luckily there is walking so that will help as long as I keep the right foods around.
179.8 lb Lost so far: 15.0 lb.    Still to go: 54.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 5.6 lb a week

Congrats!!! Isn't it hard not to let ourselves get discouraged? Well it is difficult for me anyway. I'm so glad you are using your brain to think about what you are doing and not making your decisions based purely on emotion. The scale does go up and down for a variety of reasons, most of which I'll never quite comprehend. I recently looked back at my fatsecret "beginning" and discovered I lost in much the same way back then. I'd "stall" for what felt like forever and then there would be a decline. Hang in there ... we'll both get back down to where we'd like to be!!

Thanks. I maintained the 179 through a weekend of no controlled surroundings. My son is involved with showing cattle and these past 3 weeks have been hard. We were back there shi weekend and I weighed 179.8 Friday and then 179.2 today. I am done with the 180s....I do not want to see that "18" on scales again unless it has a 1 in front of it :) Actually I don't want to weigh 118 either even though BMI says I should be between 109-130.

According to Pedometer on Saturday I walked 10,110 and then Sunday walked 4,000. So that is like 5 miles on Saturday (which I can believe -- we did a lot of walking) and then 2 miles Sunday.
