Disco Doug's Journal, 12 February 2010

This is depressing now! Lost 20 lbs and now I'm stuck @ 230. I haven't changed anything and am sticking to 2000 cal a day or less at times. Why haven't I lost any more weight in the last 2 weeks? :(

Have you been exercising more? Sometimes adding exercise or more exercise can lead to a temporary stall. If you just stick with it you should start losing again. If not that, could be something else. We can't lose weight all the time :) I usually don't bother worrying about stalls anymore unless they last more than a month. I find I usually lose about 20 pounds, stall for a month, lose another 20 pounds, etc :)

I totally know the feeling, and it is really frustrating. Hang in there, you are doing amazingly. Everyone I know reaches a stall point in their diet at some point, and it will pass eventually. (Oh, just read that part about the 6 beers in the other entry. Maybe ya just need to go pee? =D)

I know as you lose weight, you need to re-adjust your caloric intake. Maybe reduce it by 100 or so and see what happens. Make sure you are getting enough protein, fruits and veggies. Watch the processed foods because of high sodium content and drink water (which flushes sodium).

I notice that when I have high sodium I don't seem to lose weight. I concur with the extra water intake.
