1.5 lb down! Hopefully things are becoming easier again. I have been on FS for 9 months now and "only" lost 23 lb. Some of my buddies have lost an incredible 50 lb+ in the same time. I am very proud of them! I don't know what they are doing differently. Maybe it was the 2 breaks I had. It was hard to get back into it after Christmas. This has probably set me back 3 months. I also find it difficult to fit exercise into my busy life. I work full time and up to 12 hours a day. When I come home in the evening I am usually too tired to exercise. My job is very busy, I am on my feet all day. I also walk a lot and always take the stairs. I will use my Wii again, I remember how much I used to enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with my weight loss, I just don't know how other people have done such an amazing job. Congrats to you all!

Great job LaraStar .... If you look back, you have been dieting for 30+ weeks - if you take off your "lapse" weeks, it probably works out at 26-28 weeks - so a pound, or just under loss per week..... Not to be sniffed at. You also need to bear in mind, the starting weight of us "fatties". Much easier to see larger weight losses, when you have lots to loose. If I look at my own weight loss journey, the first 6 months saw bigger losses than the last 6 months. That's because I went from obese to normal BMI. You are doing great, now you are back on track after the celebrations, it will start coming off again :-)

Good point, I have not looked at my "net" weeks. Anyway, back on the horse galopping onwards!

Wow..you are echoing what I was thinking at work today. I work my ass off through the diet and exercise and 3 weeks off puts me back 6 months..is this really fair? Also, I see people here so commited and so strong minded to have not given in to thier weaknesses, that i feel embarrased of myself. But then, beating yourself up leads to more negativity. So, we have to stay positive, celebrate our success and move forward. One little thing that is helping me is the realization that I cant stay away from sweets and chocolate. So I keep some low calorie options available..like I make a splenda chocolate protein bar for chocolate cravings and keep few 100 cal chip packets in my kitchen. I dont want to sin, but if sugar calls, at least I can saitsfy with less calories.

LaraStar, be proud of your accomplishments for what they are and don't compare yourself to others. Our bodies all work differently, we all have different things going on in our lives and no one is going to have the same results. It doesn't mean you're doing anything better or worse than others. Some people that lose weight faster have more of it to lose. Some of them started with having done no exercise previously so of course they're going to see more dramatic results than someone who has been going to the gym for years. Some of just flat out willing to make more sacrifices than me on the food front or have more time to spend in the gym. I think it's also slower going if you're looking to put on muscle AND lose fat at the same time. Don't ever feel like you aren't good enough and, if nothing else, think of all those people who got on FS about the same time that you did but have since given up. Glad to hear things are getting easier and you're starting to see losses again- you're doing great!

Lara, love, you are in a way different place than a lot of us -- certainly me. You're starting at a place that would be NORMAL BMI for me. It's a lot easier to lose weight when you have more to lose. You're doing phenomenally!

Thank you for your comments. It really helps to get other people's perspectives. I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong but I can see that this is not the case. I'll keep going at my body's speed. We will all get there in the end!
