Oh my goodness, have I been busy or what?

Spring term just started at my school, and to say the least, I'm crazy busy! What with classes (I'm only taking 18 credit hours, but it feels like twice that), the musical, trying to find a job, and attempting to balance something that looks kind of like a social life, I've been swamped. As a result, my diet has really suffered. Which is no bueno, for obvious reasons lol. It's been harder to find the time to go to the gym, tempting to just grab food from the cafeteria, and easier to excuse late nights spent studying (and eating junk food). But, I'm determined to get back on track-- we all have setbacks, the important thing is adjusting and pushing through.

This semester I am taking a gym course, called "Lifetime Sports". It's designed to be a selection of sports which you can play your whole life to stay fit, including golf, tennis, volleyball, and badminton. Yesterday we started actually playing sports, and to some surprise I found myself really enjoying it! My team won, 5-2 (not that it's a competition or anything, I'm just really proud of us lol), three points of which were mine. I'm surprised to discover just how much fun Ultimate Frisbee can be when there aren't 50 sweaty football players making complete fools of themselves. The thing is, I doubt I would have had as much fun before I started taking better care of myself-- I know that I wouldn't have had enough stamina to run up and down the court for 30 minutes, and I sure as heck wouldn't have wanted to get in the middle of things. The more weight that comes off, the better my stamina becomes, the more I find myself enjoying the little things in life.

My new recording microphone got here recently, which means I can finally start recording some basic vocals and sending them out to local bands. While I admit that I don't have the best voice out there (I'm no Beyoncé) I love to sing, and I've been told that I'm not too bad. Maybe I'll post something on here? Who knows... In other news, a friend and I (who'll I'll call Teddy) are going out this Friday on a platonic date, which I'm excited for. I got her and I tickets to a live music performance in town, and we're planning on going to a nice Japanese restaurant for dinner beforehand. I've already started planning out what I'm going to get, so I can best budget for the calories and choose a relatively healthy option. Right now, I'm thinking the teriyaki glazed salmon and miso, but we'll see ^-^

WB and I have been having some issues recently...I find that although I still love him, I find it harder to spend time with him. When things are going well, they're going amazingly well-- he's sweet and funny and kind, cares about what I have to say, enjoys going to the gym with me, and seems to be under the impression that I hang the stars in the sky. But when things aren't going well in his life? Well... He tends to be very hard on himself, almost 24/7. If I go to bed early, I'll wake up to a phone full of him hating himself, talking about how he's worthless...it's really draining. I want to be able to help him, but I can only do so much. Once he finds a new job, I think he'll feel better. My friends are trying to get me to break up with him, but I'm not quite ready for that yet.

Classes are a lot of fun, and much more challenging this semester than last. Speaking of, I need to head out to grab some breakfast (I don't have time to eat until 4pm otherwise), so I'll talk to you all later!

Peace and Love,

Relationships can be such hard work, and they shouldn't be. Here's wishing you well, whatever you decide.
