Here's my entry for December 1st!

The time stamps on these things are gonna be all wonky, but such is life. Anyways, into the interesting stuff!

Today was the WB's real, actual birthday, but he had work and I had school, so we only got to hang out for a little bit ;-;. Fortuneatly, we made the most out of our time together! Admittedly, I was a bit tired after not going to sleep until 4am, and woke up only 15 min before class! The fact that I woke up at all is due to the grace of god (and by god, I mean the incredible Roomie). Don't worry, I arrived at class on time, and didn't even have to run up the stairs! After class, a few of my classmates and I were taught how to run the big-time printer which we'll be using for our final project. It was pretty cool to get to open up the printer, but I already kind of knew what they were trying to teach us, so :/.

Afterwards, I headed to lunch. Of course, I wanted to grab something quick so I could go hang out with WB, so I went through the actual caf versus the salad bar. Today, they were serving gyro! While I don't eat meat, those veggies are excellent, and I love tzatziki, so it was a good menu. The veggies had been pan cooked (I think lol) in olive oil with tofu and mushrooms...aka heaven! I decided to skip out on the pita bread in favor of a lighter lunch-- and to save some calories for a little treat XD. I grabbed some of the sautéed greens, but they turned out to be really bitter, so I didn't log them or eat them. Well, y'all can read through my daily intake if you want to see exactly what I ate lol...

My little treat? Fried pickles. I had never tried them before coming to college, and I have to say that I was missing out! Probably for the best, though...they're hard to say no to. As a treat, I got a few pickles, and some of the spicy tzatziki they had. Yum!!! I wish I were stronger-willed, but hey, at least I'm enjoying myself!

No desert at lunch today, thankyouverymuch, but I did overindulge a bit at WB's house. Hey, it's his birthday, I have to have some of the celebratory banana bread, right? Well, maybe not that much....but what's done is done, plus it kept me from getting hungry again until late tonight.

To be honest, one of my biggest worries with this site is the accuracy of the calorie count on homemade items. Yeah, you can tell me how many calories are in pierogies from Mrs. T, but can you asses the number of calories in a recipe I give you? That'd be great...or if my school could list the nutritional information online. Unfortunately, because of life, my calorie counts could be off. So, I guess the important thing to do is try and keep it as accurate as possible, choose fruits/veg/protein, and eat moderate portions!

Sounds easier than I think it'll be ,:)

Anyways, where was I? Oh yes, dinner!

(Also, the WB loved his gifts! A huge comfy blanket, a video game that he was really interested in but couldn't afford, and a set of "personal items" for the two of us XD)

For my dinner, I pan cooked some zucchini in olive oil, garlic salt (aka my best friend), pepper, and thyme. I then tossed the zucchini in a bowl with some salsa and dug in! Not quite as good as I thought it would be, but I think the zucchini was maybe a bit old...next time I'll try and cook it sooner! I then proceeded to eat the equivalent of three mangoes-- I had gotten six on sale @.99/3, which is kind of an unbeatable deal, but they were so ripe you could only get about half the flesh on each. They made a delicious desert that has kept me feeling full.

Considering that it is now 12:32AM on December 2nd, I should probably go to sleep...I have a class at 9:10AM tomorrow XI.
