thatsoontobeskinnybitch's Journal, 29 November 2016

I got up a bit late and had to read through "The Telling" for my FYS, so I grabbed the last tiny bit of pizza from Wonderful Boyfriend and my celebratory meal the night before...I mean, how can you resist 50% off Dominos? That 1/3 of a slice did have a couple pieces of pineapple on it, but that's not the worst thing to add without counting it exactly....oh well lol.

It was so nice to wake up next to him again...except for the part where he took it upon himself to basically shake me awake. I far prefer it when I get to just wake up when I'm ready, although I don't complain too much when he decides to wake me in a more...ahem...devious manner! (XD) No chance to grab a shower or a balanced breakfast :,( but I can do that tomorrow. If I can wake up on time, that is!

If only, if only I could rely on myself to wake up to an alarm...then I could maybe schedule in an early morning walk (who am I kidding, I'm lazy as all hell), or be sure to eat a balanced, protein-rich breakfast. But hey, I am who I am!

Lunch was a bit difficult, as they were serving nachos in the college caf, alongside fresh-made onion rings and locally produced ice cream-- three of my favorite non-diet foods!! But I stayed strong, enjoying a heavier salad (chickpeas, carrots, cucumber, eggs, cheese, and caeser dressing on a bed of mixed greens!) and a big glass of water. After waiting for about 30 minutes by talking to my friends, I rewarded myself with a bit of the fresh yogurt (made on campus!), and a small sugar cookie (which was apparently something special for Native American Heritage Month here? But I couldn't find the calorie count for those so I improvised!).

I was planning on going to dinner in the cafeteria, but as I stated earlier, I'm lazy! Instead, I had what was left from a quiche I made for myself and some friends the other day. That was some darn good quiche, if I do say so myself. But it was full of cheese and egg yolk and milk :cries internally: (although I did use skim milk, so there's a few "Good Girl Points"). I should look on the bright side-- it was also full of spinach! And egg whites!!

After dinner, well...one of my big problems (and what I anticipate being a barrier in my weight loss journey) is that I love to snack. I live to snack. I'm an excellent bargain shopper, and I often get snacking foods on sale. This is not good. Dinner was initially just one small slice of quiche, but it quickly became one and a half in an attempt to eat something slightly healthy. That, unfortunately, didn't last long.

In the end, I broke down and ate a single serving of those amazing Whatafries that I ordered from back home...the one thing I miss about Texas was HEB! Probably for the best I'm not there now lol. Fortunately, my break from the plan only cost me 140 calories (it's the fat portion where it hurt...but this is life.).

So far, Day 1 has been alright...yes, I've been hungry, but hey, when am I ever not hungry? Amirite folks? *ba-dum tish*

But in all seriousness, I'm optimistic about this. Yes, I've dieted before and fallen off the wagon, but I think I'm finally at the point where I'm waking up and seeing the truth-- that I can't go on this way. I weigh 295 lbs. That is my heaviest weight, and it is one that makes me feel ashamed. Ashamed to buy clothes, to eat in public, to be with my amazing boyfriend...yes, I feel all this shame, but it inspires me (in some sick, twisted way).

I don't like the way I look, so I'm going to change it. WHile I seriously doubt anyone is reading this (or ever will), I'm going to use the Journal section to write about my diet (and life) and keep myself on track.

Signing off,

That Soon To Be Skinny Bitch
