bellanonna's Journal, 02 October 2016

Am starting today on a low calorie diet plan as am just under obese according to tables of weight, height, age etc. So am going to eat 1000 or less if possible, have to be firm with myself from now on. My weaknesses such as speciality breads, biscuits, cream, cheese, these have to be severely restricted or indeed shunned for about one year, that should see me back to my weight of 6 years ago. So the journey to size 10 again starts today!

Good luck! Are you in the UK? Sainsburys just brought out a range of dairy free cheeses and they are considerably better for you in terms of fat and calories (unfortunately no added calcium). Also remember not to be too tough on yourself! I'm aiming for 4 days at 1200 calories and 3 days at 1500. I previously lost nearly 2 stone using this app, so logging everything you eat def works!

Hi Bellanonna, good luck on your weight loss journey. Hope you don't mind me mentioning, but I read People should not eat less than 1200 calories a day as our bodies go into starvation mode. I think if you try to aim between 1200 and 1500 a day you will have a nice steady loss. I have been going for 3 weeks sticking to just under 1500 and have now lost 7 pounds already! Well done to you Theoriginalcurvygirl nearly losing 2 stone!

Thank you to the dear members who wished me well and gave me good advice also. I am in England and welcome any messages from other Brits plus of course those who live elsewhere - works as such motivation to be in touch with other FatSecret dieters. xx

Have in fact gained two pounds since my last weigh in two weeks ago, so have to be really tough on myself, it is so easy to put it on and so much harder to lose it, especially in the later years as I am now in!
