Day 1 of diet. Will be keen to see how first week goes. Aim is for 2 lbs a week loss - possible in 12 weeks to get to target weight of 120 lbs. Needs a miracle!

Our goals us similar. I started off over 145lbs but couldn't dream of lose 2lb a week -I would have to cut over a 1000 calories a day. For you this might mean a 900-1200 limit of healthy calories a day depending on your weight and height. Because I am short, it woukd mean a 700 calories a day limit. I barely manage cutting about 300-400 cslories a day. It effects your energy, mood and motivation. My husband is dieting with me and we walk or bike 8-30 km a day. It has not been easy. See example of my food plan plan for 1200 calories today. It looks like a lot, but a bit of oil, a glass of juice or a small beer coukd throw me off. Going off to a pub or restaurant on a 700 calorie diet would be a disaster for me personally. I feel isolated already on a reduced diet. You could ask the high protein dieters how they are doing.I think on a restricted calorie diet, 2lbs a week for someone under 150lbs will be really tough.

Of course, I should really have said "all the best"! Dieting is rewarding. Even a 2 lb (1kg) loss the tummy feels flatter and clothes fit beter. After losing 4 kg, many of my trousers had to go (went off to charity just this weekend).
