My weight loss has been a little stagnant lately, so I finally made the decision to complete a three day fast. My weigh in definitely reflects that! Technically, my fast ends tonight at 7pm, but I am going to hold off until tomorrow morning at 7am instead, meaning that it will be an 84 hour fast when complete. It hasn't been as hard to accomplish as I originally thought it would be. I do all of the cooking at my house, so I was a little worried about meal times, but it hasn't been an issue at all. I think that this fast was really good for me on a mental level because it reminded me that I am as strong as my own determination allows. With all that being said, I hope that my weight doesn't do an Olympic style jump back up after I go back to eating tomorrow. I am, however, very mindful about that possibility and how to address it.
On another note, I was very excited to see that yesterday marked my 11 month anniversary of truly working on my weight. I am very excited to see what the next month will bring and how far I will get before I reach the one year mark. Everything looked so unachievable and far away when I first started. Now, I can see the big picture when I look back and reflect on the journey. I think that that is the real difference maker, seeing it as a journey instead of a quick sprint. I know that God has been very purposeful (and even gentle) when giving me these lessons. Have a great week buddies!

Great job Mousy on your progress to date and nothing like fasting to shake up a plateau. Looks like you know what is coming at you weight wise on the refeed/rehydration days ahead, but be encouraged that the fasting fat loss (+/- 1/2 pound per day) is sustained as long as you don't overfeed on the rebound!!

By The Way, I should have added to my first comment...I really love your attitude Mousy, super positive and by us "seeing it as a journey instead of a quick sprint" to a destination makes each day not only less stressful but more enjoyable too. Sometimes we are in such a hurry to get somewhere we forget to enjoy the good things that God had provided for us along the way...good friends, family, an amazing world, a loving pet, the odd good meal, etc...thank you!! Take care and have a great weekend!!
