Some Nutritional Advice Please
I think I get the concept of food as fuel. I get the idea that I should watch my macronutrients because excessive carbs, especially refined carbs, triggers insulin production, which converts the surplus glucose to fat. I even get it that fat is not my enemy, fat is my friend, eat fats to burn fats (once I do not exceed my RDI). However, what about the micronutrients, all those vitamins and minerals that I have been taught that my body needs? If I am mainly getting my fuel (calories) from fat, how will I get my Vitamin C, etc?

I use a GOOD multivitamin and i still add more potassium and sodium OVER that. If and when i go back to more than one meal a day, i will adjust my supplements appropriately.

Thanks for those tips, TRPiJiu. It is sooo irritating when one person's comments are deleted, because it makes other persons appear to be making totally irrelevant remarks. While some of TomandJerry's statements seem bizarre, I actually saw some sense in his perspective that the body synthesizes some of the nutrients we need. I know for sure that we make our own Vitamin D and now research is showing that if we have healthy gut flora, we can synthesize Vitamin C. Knuckles, I am not a good candidate for Intermittent Fasting because of my medical history plus my past habit of starving myself followed by unhealthy binge eating. Sad, because your results prove that it is highly effective. I am gradually working out a plan that would hopefully work for me. Right now I have basically kicked my sugar addiction and I am well on the way to recovery from my passion for flour. Hopefully within a couple of weeks I will be ready for a sustained LCHF way of eating.
