Pearson16's Journal, 16 February 2016

I haven't been able to check in to FS for 3 days now as life has been super busy. This weekend was one full of celebrations. Starting on Saturday when I went shopping with my family & best friends for my wedding gown and I ended up finding "the one" ... I can't even explain the happiness I felt! We ended the night by all of us going out to dinner at TGI Friday's. I actually didn't overeat in terms of amount but my meal wasn't a healthy choice. Then on Sunday I had no control of what we were doing because my fiance surprised me with a day/night out on the town. We ended the day at the North End at a very nice authentic Italian restaurant. Their food was amazing! Once again I was super proud that I did not overeat (I ate to the point where I was satisfied and boxed up the rest). I was very proud of myself this weekend for consciously making the choice to not eat so much that I felt bloated and gross. I felt comfortable and able to continue my day without that belly-popping feeling.

Unfortunately on Sunday night after dinner at the Italian place my foot fell in a pothole as I was crossing the street and I re-injured a sprained ankle from a couple of years ago and I completely busted up my right knee. So ... here I was excited to get back on track and start incorporating some sort of workouts and now I have to focus on wrapping, icing, and elevating my foot and keeping the wound on my knee clean/wrapped and trying my best not to irritate it. Yay me! It's always something lol

Anyway, I'm glad to be back here recording my food and eating healthier meals again :)

Hi Pearson! Congratulations on finding your wedding dress! How exciting! It sounds like you are doing really well. So sorry about injuring yourself on Sunday. I totally commiserate. I struggle with decades of plantar facsiitus(sp) and bad knees. I understand how depressing injuries can be. Keep on keeping on the great work!

Thank you! :) I am hoping that I can fully heal by next week. My ankle is doing so much better after icing and elevating it last night. I intend on doing the same tonight. My knee on the other hand, not so great - it REALLY hurts pretty much all the time and I am treating it with Neosporin and keeping it covered with sterile gauze. As soon as it stops hurting then I will be able to walk normally again and I can start exercising :) In either case they do say you can't out-exercise a bad diet. So my main focus is what I eat this week.

Congrats on the dress! Thanks for sharing your happy feeling about it. I eloped and missed that part. I'm so happy for you--but stop letting streets beat you up! Get well soon so you can dance up a storm at your wedding!
