Going to go for a 5 day fast. It’s been several years since I’ve gone that long. Started at midnight last night.

In 3 hours I’ll be at 48 hours. Not hungry just have anxiety because all I can think about is food. This is making me so aware of why I eat. I’m never hungry, just bored, stressed, or simply because it tastes good. Food addiction is so hard. I keep telling myself I’m only going to eat to nourish my body, I’m going to think of my body as a gas tank. You only fill it when it’s empty not just because. But it’s so hard to practice.

Ended my fast at 47 hours with a can of tuna, dill pickles, a baby bel light and 3 low carb tortillas (30 cal each). The tortillas are not something I should eat way too many ingredients but it’s a better cheat than candy or sweets.

First great job 😊 🥇! What did you learn about your experience? Do you think 🤔 it benefited you? I bet that food tasted great though. Even we don't to succeed exactly the way we want too trying something is still worthwhile, or at least I think it is anyway. So I was watching a video earlier in January that really struck me and it was a lady who was talking about how she was going to try to get rejected at least once a week. And at first I was like...What? Why world do you that? I mean why would you want to be rejected😳🤔🧐? But she went on to explain she's going to try things that she would never try ordinarily. She was going to go out of her comfort zone and attempt things that she wouldn't normally attempt she was going to apply for jobs, she was going to ask people out, she was going to engage with new people and try to meet people of different places to make friends, engaging in conversations to meet new people who were interesting. I thought it was a wonderful concept and really interesting I'm not very good at it but I'm also not very confident with strangers anymore you know over time life's beat me down and a lot of bad things have happened over the last several years but I thought it was a great idea and I thought that I would like to try that too maybe not quite so often but I don't know I just really liked it.

That’s a great idea, if you don’t try you can miss out on so much in life. I learned I’m not really hungry at night, it’s just a habit to eat late at night. I learned I don’t need as many calories as I thought to be satisfied. I may not feel full but I’m not hungry either. I’ve always had to eat until I feel full at night so I don’t to bed hungry. It’s been comforting to feel full and I feel like I slept better. But I slept pretty well on my fast too! I also learned water is my friend. I never felt really hungry while fasting because I drank 64-80 ounces of water both days.
