Butternut squash? Keep me posted on how it tastes?

Looks pretty! Sounds good. Only thing I’m missing is a TASTE.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I'm waiting to try a slice with dinner with my husband. Although I still haven't figured out dinner beyond pie 🤣 Morticia -- when I was a kid, the crust was really the only part I liked. My dad used to take the leftover scraps of pie dough and turn them into cinnamon pinwheel cookies. LOVED those! I do the same thing sometimes  

My mom would do the same thing with the leftover pie dough. It was always my favorite. Loads of butter sugar and cinnamon 

The pie is pretty good! Cracked a little in the middle, and a few little chunkies where I didn't get the squash pureed perfectly, but dang tasty. I cut down a bit on the sugar because we prefer things not quite as sweet. If you like butternut squash and like to bake pie, I'd encourage you to try it sometime. In the meantime, my personal life might be falling apart, but at least I can still turn out a decent pie 😕 

Writingwyo-ive never made a pie in my life but watched my mama make many when a child. Does it taste like a pumpkin pie?

I wish I could learn to make a pie crust as delicious as that looks to be! 

I use a food processor to make mine, Debbie. It's actually pretty easy. I can give you the recipe if you want
