Im new here but a little experience. Im a 5ft 10in male. My heaviest was 263lbs. I lost 102lbs down 161lbs. It took 3 years so be patient and giving up is not an option.

I might suggest that you start at square one and look at what you are eating and are you weighing it so that you KNOW how much you are actually eating. Going below 1200 calories is actually counterproductive if you do it consistently. Give some thought to why you are trying to lose weight and are you prepared to make a lifestyle change. I do not believe in deprivation or forbidden foods, but I am a strong proponent of learning portion control and moderation. Occasional things that are not always going to be in your food plan that you can have in a reasonable sized portion. No second helping. This can be done— it does not have to be so hard. Do some homework on nutrition, try to tweak some of your favorite recipes to make them healthier and more weight loss friendly. If you drink sodas, start cutting down. For now, stay out of fast food restaurants an lastly, you have to increase your activity level you can do it.

well my job is very physically active so that’s not an issue, plus I’m trying to make it to the gym after work 3-4 times a week. As for food logging I know some days it shows I ate very little calories but that’s only because some foods I’m not sure how to log due to a name issue. I eat some Indian lentils & there’s not always a way to log them in here so it seems like my logs are incomplete.

Got it— I understand those issues completely. The FS food logging system is clumsy and inaccurate at best most of the time. Just do the best you can. Welcome aboard.
