Not doing too good on the diet front right now. Been having so much happening that i haven't been able to keep up with anything i'm supposed to be doing. I made a few New Year's resolutions, which i never do. I have only done pretty good with 1 and that's keeping my glucose and b/p journal up to date. At the end of the year i had gotten really bad about not taking them and writing them down. I'm supposed to do it 2 times a day so i can catch any problems before they get bad and i end up in the hospital. I'm going back to church tomorrow and that is one of my resolutions. They changed it to only 1 service and its very hard for me to get up early but that was also a resolution and i've been doing pretty good on it I'll only be able to go for 2 weeks and then i'll have to take a break because of surgery again, but i will be going back as soon as i'm able. I have to have surgery on my leg to repair the tendon and its supposed to take away the pain i have whenever i try and walk. I'm going to start my food journal tomorrow and start keeping track of everything i eat and drink. My cholesterol is high now and i can't afford that problem too. Have to go now. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Im going through the same thing. My right leg has been hurting for months and my hip. I dont know what to do. Should I go to the doctor iv been to the doctor 2 times and they say its my back and its not its my leg. I cant exersize because of it because if I walk it starts to hurt but if I sit down it dont hurt as bad. Is yours the same way? I hope you feel better.

Try the recumbent bike. I suffered 3 pretty bad accidents. I have some bulging discs and impinged nerves. I was at about 270 lbs a year ago. I started off working out with the recumbent bicycle. Something is better than nothing. Then I moved up to the elliptical. I've since taken up weight training and cardio. I'm down over 70 pounds. I also have a sharp/pinching pain which shoots around my butt (lateral)area down the back of my knee. I have come to tolerate the pain a little better. Losing the weight definitely helped. Keep at it. Make some goals. Don't let the pain stop you!!!

My pain started when I decided to walk 4 to 5 miles to the store and back. On the way home I really felt the pain. I more less force myself home. Im afraid I tore something but I am moving around instead of walking. But ill be ok I already lost 13 pounds.

LadyGoblyn, good luck whenever you have the leg surgery. Take care of yourself.
