King in the North's Journal, 23 December 2014

It's pretty interesting reading through journal entries past few days many people talking about food and treats this time of year. How they will avoid eating them and the pressure because of them being around. Some even going as far as to not allow them in their house.Makes me think about how food can be as addictive as any drug for some and maybe even worse. With any other addiction you can quit completely.Food must be eaten everyday for the rest our lives.Imagine telling an alcoholic you need to drink just one glass of wine everyday!lol As crazy as that might sound I know it is that hard for many out there and I give a lot of credit to those who can watch everyone else eating all the treats and still continue to stay on the path of healthy eating.

This is an interesting thought King. Speaking as a previous smoker, I can't imagine having to smoke my pipe just once a day and giving up for the remainder. It was hard enough just quitting. So many people without weight problems just don't understand how hard it is for someone like me to pass it up. I've had co-workers place donuts on my desk as a joke because they knew I was watching my food intake. I guess I'm "hard headed" enough to want to prove my point and I didn't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing they'd won. These folks are few because most of my friends and co-workers are VERY supportive. Good luck to all of us on this mission to better health. Thanks for posting this King. We can definitely do this.
