Christmas is just around the corner and the festivities are starting. We had a secret Santa at work. I got scratch tickets but didn't win anything. I knit a scarf for the person that I got and they loved it. Got a $50 bill from the boss as a Christmas bonus. I will keep that for when I need to buy some new clothes. My husband who works for a taxi firm has to work till 7 on Christmas Eve. Then we are going to the taxi owners house for a drink. We don't drink alcohol so it will be a Coke for him and something diet for me. Not sure if they are having nibbles or not. I hope they have a veggie tray if they do so that I can have a little something and stay true to my plan. Christmas day I will have turkey and veggies(brussels sprouts for sure, they are my favourite) a spoon of dressing and a little gravy. I am going to have sugar free jello for dessert then walnuts and a tangerine for a treat. Boxing day we are going to my eldest daughter's for brunch and gift exchange. We only buy for the kids now as it was getting to be to tough to find something the adults needed.
I have inspired the girls at work to try eating healthier in the new year. There are 4 or 5 of them who are all going to try losing some weight in January. They could all stand to lose 20 or 30 lbs. So I hope that they see it as a life style change and continue long after January.
