There's always a moment of suspense just before I unwrap the crockpot in the morning when I'm making yogurt. Will it be yogurt? The YouTube videos I watched said to expect a failure every so often, but this is 25 succesful batches in a row

3 quarts milk, heat it up in a crockpot on low until it reaches 180 (about 3 hours 45 min on mine), unplug it and let it sit about 3 hours until temp drops to about 120. Mix in 1/4 cup of plain, unsweetened yogurt as a starter. Wrap your crockpot well in towels to insulate it, and leave it sit overnight. You can find a lot of videos on YouTube demonstrating how to do it -- I learned some good tips from them. We like Greek yogurt, so we strain it for a few hours in the fridge
