Spent 8 days traveling with my husband and grandchildren for "GrandCamp". We ate at a number of buffet-type places as well as fast food and hotel breakfasts. I took most of the pictures during GrandCamp, but there are a few pictures of me...after seeing myself in the photos and feeling my size 2X GrandCamp t-shirt was uncomfortably tight, I decided it was time to address the issue of my weight and poor eating habits.
I came home to an empty refrigerator so it was the perfect time to fill it with healthy food choices. I bought lots of fruits and vegetables as well as some lean meat and even fish. That was 4 days ago. So far it has worked just fine. I have felt a little hungry, but I try to imagine that is my stomach shrinking.
I understand how some people feel they need to tell other people what they are doing as a way of holding themselves accountable, but for me - all I want is privacy. I don't want to bore my family and friends with constant talk of diets and foods facts. Of course it will be nice when my weight loss is noticeable, but I just don't like the majority of my thoughts and conversations to be about food and weight loss. Maybe that is just my perfectionism asserting itself...if I don't tell anyone, no one will know if I fail...I don't know for sure, but for now - mums the word.
