Run/Walk day!!! Since I didn't go yesterday due to possible floating away in a massive t-storm, I added an extra half mile today. Which worked out well because within a half mile from my house it started pouring. Sooooo I sprinted home, nothing like a little bump in the good ole heartrate :)It was nice though, I might have to add in some sprints on these days....I had read a while back on active.com that switching your normal running routine up like that can be beneficial. It was kinda fun, less monotonous. So, over the weekend, my in-laws were up and we have this AMAZING bakery in town with muffins the size of your head. I may have had a ginormous cinnamon roll, anyway, there are 2 muffins left and I am trying to wait until the weekend to eat it (because since I'm more active on weekends, I bump up my RDI). I don't know if I can do it! It's just sitting there staring at me!!! Saying Eat me Eat me!! AHHH Wednesday, why can't you be Saturday!!?? I can do it...just keep swimming, just keep swimming! Hehe :)

Thanks for the encouraging journal today. You INSPIRE me to add some pitter-patter kinds of jogging steps to my walk. easy does it with that bakery window shopping, Kiddo! Ha! Ha! Upon us all a little RAIN must fall (Led Zeppelin). have a great day!

What you read at active.com is spot on...the human body learns and adapts to our workout and exercise routines...a plateau where we just can't seem to lose those last few pounds or get more muscle growth. For the most success, switch it up! And, again, excellent workout today...keep it up!

There is a similar bakery on Main Street...huge, delicious muffins and all other sorts of baked debauchery. I stay away from there as much as possible...mmmmm, baked debauchery.

Haha I'm drooling over here! :) seriously, their cinnamon rolls are like 6 inches across with about an inch of buttercream frosting...o.m.g. they do have low-fat muffins...perhaps I should have gone that route...whoopsies! lol

If you can wait, it will make it even more amazing though :). After a couple months of running, I used to hit a plateau and the only thing that would jumpstart my weight loss after that was HIIT running, so you may want to give it a try!
