Please talk to me about your experiences with BIA Scales.

I'm biking and being bored reading about the difference between fat and muscle and your body size (those sites I posted yesterday made me more curious because of some obvious differences in how ppl of the same weight can look). That made me curious about measuring such differences and BIA Scales seem to be the most convenient...

lots of luck with the new scale. You are so right about how certain people can be the same weight and look and look and wear clothes differently.

I ordered off amazon and just ordered the cheapest one that had 4*+ reviews. It was $17 when I ordered. They have them all the way from that $17 to $50+ I'm going to see how this one works and if I can get lucky with a cheap one, if the weight is off or I'm not getting consistent readings I'll return it and go with a more expensive model =p

I just purchased such a scale, a week ago. It's a Bowflex digital scale and can be programmed for up to 4 people. It measures weight, body fat percentage, total body water percentage, and muscle mass within .01 percent. So far, at least the weight has been accurate; the other readings I use as a gauge. Cost me about $40.

That's basically what I'm looking for LoadGod, I know they won't be completely accurate, but I'm just wanting an idea of where I am. My husband's work has a dietitian who does a continuous fitness program for the employees. My husband said she has a hand held one that is suppose to be fairly accurate. He said we could probably take the scale in and test it against what hers said. As long as the readings are close enough for me to know I'm getting a decent gauge I'll be happy =)
