I'm sad.
I gained weight.
I don't know what happened. I mean,yeah... I overate twice, but the rest of the week was good. I had light meals, drank a lot of water, and didn't eat too much.
My period was over about 3 or 4 days.
So... what's wrong? Why did I gained 300gr?

Right now I feel sooooo down.

Dont worry you will be fine, just make your resolve even more hard. You have to do it and you should. Just keep going........

It could be a lot of things. Google "why the scale lies" in case you haven't read it yet. If it's water fluctuation, it will go away. If you overate twice, maybe it's from that. It's so hard to say. If weighing is effecting your mood, it might be good to just weigh once a week. It's a number that doesn't always reflect our efforts. Tomorrow the scale may be down a kilo. Stay on plan, Drink water and be active. It's one day (although I know how hard it is to see the stupid number go up) and keep going. It will go back down.

That's nothing really, water fluctuation could be the culprit. Just keep in a deficit and it will come off.

There are many things that can affect what the scale says. It's discouraging I know but don't let a number on the scale get you off track or down on yourself. Keep on track, keep doing the right things, eating correctly, and the weight will come off.

I always weigh myself first thing in the morning after going to the bathroom. Just a tip to try to always guage under the same circumstances. You seem pretty new here, enter your food and exercise information as best you can and it will give you an idea what it takes to bring down your weight. Make it a lifestyle change and not a short term goal. When I first started out, I kept my goal to lose a pound or two a week. My goal was 180lbs- I got close (181lbs) but never hit my goal. Just keep plugging away at things and don't get discouraged when weight isn't dropping as fast as you expect, like I said, make it a lifestyle change. Good Luck!

thank you everyone for your words. I do some of the things you mentioned, like drinking lots of water, exercise, weighting once a week ( I NEVER weight myself daily), and the first thing in the morning after going to the bathroom. I know I have to keep going, but it is sooo discouraging. Thanks, everyone.

Weight is soooo subjective! My weight fluctuates regularly at least 5 lbs up and down, up and down. I'm not trying to lose or gain, but it tell me that there are variables at work. How are you feeling? Have you had fun lately or have something to look forward to? Eating foods that nourish you? With loved ones? Healthy always looks better than thin, and feels better too. The scale can't measure awesome...

I personally don't lose my water weight until I have ovulated so for me my weight also can fluctuate within 5 or 6 pounds throughout the month. The only thing you can do is keep doing good, because eventually the scale has to go down. But as long as you did right last week, even with a screw up or 2, you still should have lost the body fat. I'll check back next week when you are celebrating the new weigh in.

I know how you feel, almost feeling like you want to give up on trying.. DON'T!! Today is a new day, Yesterday you can not change it, tomorrow will take care of it's own.. today is what you are responsible for- Do not let the "weight devil" (that evil little trowel) that wants to sabotage your resolve of losing weight win- you are stronger then "he" is...Take charge and move forward.. Yes I completely understand the discouragement over even a little weight gain--I tend to get depressed as well.. but I try as I might to focus on what my choices of food is for today..and keep my mini goals in view.. (right now, I am 2 lbs away from loosing 40 pounds!) My main goal is months if not years away.. but that tends to depressed me as well, so I try to focus on mini goals.. and keep going.. Hang in there kiddo!!!! You will make it...

Btw my main goal- is to get down to 200 lbs ,yes that is where my doctor wants me to be at- He said if I go any lower than that it will be unhealthy for me.. Not joking I am extra extra large "bone"..I have about 135 lbs to go.. yeah kind of discouraging if I focus on that.. but I am trying to focus on loosing nearly 40 lbs since beginning of April!!

Awwwe I'm sorry your feeing down... Just remember that the scale does play tricks on us, lol... The fact that you started excercising again will make you reatain some water weight at first... Weigh in once a week and I'm confident that it will start droppping soon. Just keep doing what your doing and if you want to do measurements, that could also show you a different side to it. Please just keep going and it will all work itself out!!! Feel Better Soon!!!!! ;)

Muscle is more dense than fat. You can lose bodyfat and size while gaining weight. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hgJKWyN6Siw/UFEaQdXRbSI/AAAAAAAAADg/dFjk3kJJ_Y8/s1600/muscle-vs-fat.jpg

Just keep going, the scale always moves in the right direction eventually as long as we don't give up.

Some weeks you are going to gain... especially around that time of month. Are you doing any exercise. Especially if you are drinking a lot of water that would be a good way to expend some of your water weight. I always find that week after my period I am at my heaviest but a good jog helps me feel better just to sweat it out a bit. Not there yet? How about a walk or even parking at the back of the parking lot at the grocery store. Try to remember you don't always need cardio also think about some strength training. I just got Shaun T T-25 on DHGATE.COM for really cheap and it is so manageable to commit 25 minutes a day... I actually do it on Saturday too just so I can have an extra beer or so.

Again, thank you all. It does cheer me up a bit and give me hope so I can keep on moving. Thanks again, I wish you all success in your journey.

Man, that is some accurate scale you have there...I am jelly. Have you tried fitting a quick paced walk into your regimen. I did everything you are doing and added a walk in the evening and lost 60 pounds. No kidding.

Hey...RELAX.....the fact that you are aware of what your body needs to be healthier is great enough on it's own. Keep on working on your goal and DON'T GIVE UP.!!

You are doing fine, keep moving and things will happen. Take care and have a nice evening.

I always felt that way too. It ended up that I would weigh my food (which I needed to do) count my calories, and trust that time would take care of the rest. I weighed and logged my weight every day, but I only trusted the lowest weight of the week. You can't expect to see a steady weight loss every day, or even every week for that matter. The body has to sort things out. Relax Ponky. We're here to help. Rave, whine, and cry to us, but keep on the path. That's what counts.

Just read your bio. I like rowing. Walking will do the same thing as running, it just takes longer. Diet is 95% of any weight loss plan.
