SherrieC's Journal, 13 May 2014

Good Morning All, I do hope that everyone had a great weekend. I know I did, I can completely understand when people say that once you slip a little, it can be extremely hard to regroup and focus on better eating habits. We all know I had a great dinner on Saturday, well Sunday was good too, except for my mom bringing homemade donuts home from the Donut shop. They were still warm, and of course I couldn't not eat one since she did buy them right? :) What do you know, I couldn't eat just one it had to be two. She had bought them for my husband and I and there is still one left that I refuse to eat.

My poison ivy/oak is still driving me crazy, I have tried so many things on it, but nothing is really helping. I have tried vodka, nail polish remover, lemon juice, cortizone-10 cream. I guess I am kinda of lucky because it has not spread much further than my wrist and hand.

I have to say that I enjoy writing in my journal early in the morning, because I have more time to really tell you all what is going on, unlike in the afternoon where I am rushing through reading everyone else's journal and trying to make sure that you all know I support you. Plus I am a procrastinator with just about everything, always waiting until the last minute.

I AM going to the gym today, because I have put that off for long enough. I also want to see how much weight I have gained. I do hope you all have a great day.

Hi Sherrie, have you tried taking some Benadryl to help from the inside out for your poison oak. Calamine lotion will help with the itchiness. Good luck at the gym.

Oh man, fresh donuts that are still warm. I'd have eaten the whole batch, you did good with just a couple. My wife and I stopped at Tim Horton's on the way back from Buffalo yesterday. She checked the calories on their menu items before we got there, that was enough encouragement to opt for a bagel with low fat cream cheese. There's a Krispy Kreme store there also where you can go in and get fresh donuts right out of whatever it is they cook them in. Ok enough about donuts. Have a great day, and a good workout at the gym. Weather permitting I'm doing my walk during lunch.

We all make for choices that are less than perfect, but the sooner we get back to eating healthy, the better we feel. I made some poor choices yesterday, so shall we try together to make healthier choices today, my sweet friend? xoxox
