SherrieC's Journal, 10 May 2014

Hello all, I just wanted to come clean about dinner tonight. My husband and I took my mother-in-law out to Red Lobster tonight and I must say I had a fantastic dinner. I know I am way over on my RDI, but that is ok for me. It is not often that we go out anywhere so I made the best of it. Happy Mother's Day to everyone a day early. Have a blessed and wonderful day.

Indulging now and then doesn't hurt anything as long as you bounce back quickly!!! :)

Falling down doesn't count as long as you get back up one more time than you fall!

I have found that sometimes enjoying a big, hearty, anything-goes meal with loved ones in a relaxed atmosphere is better for my health than restricting or measuring and eating in a state of stress or angst. Glad you enjoyed your dinner.. Sounds awesome :) We work hard most of the time so we can let loose in good conscience! Happy Mothers Day!

Remember, you can have celebrations, and enjoy yourself and not treat yourself with food. If you decide to just not do it, you wont. Plan ahead for eating out. Plan not to over eat, or eat the wrong choices before you go. Sometimes one bad day turns in to more than one. Decide not to celebrate with food. You can do it!

One bad meal won't run everything, the same as one salad won't fix everything. A cheat meal a week is common practice even for the fittest of the fit!

SherrieC, don't worry about going over your RDI on a once a year special occasion. You will always remember that you and your husband took your mother-in-law to the restaurant on her special day. :D
