Hi everybody! Happy March! OK so I gained a tad but I'm not worried b/c I just came off a 42 hour fast so it can't be a real gain. I lost 18 pounds in February! My goal for March is 13 pounds. I realize this is aggressive but at my weight I can do it. I'm sure after I lose 100 pounds the weight loss will slow down.
This month I am concentrating on eating foods that don't upset my stomach after I break a fast. Seems like eggs, dairy, and nuts are out for now. I am going to break my fast with a protein shake, then for dinner try tomato and cucumber salad and chicken. If I'm still hungry I will eat some veggies. I will use olive oil as my healthy fat.
I joined a challenge to give up a vice during March. Of course I picked Diet Coke. I have been cutting down on Diet Coke for a month now but I think it will still be hard to do!
What are your goals for March? Does anyone else out there Fast?

Wow--a 42 hour fast! I can't even skip lunch one day. Good for you and good luck meeting your March goal.

And yes, I am fasting for March. Been running rolling 72s and planning to continue until I burn off this last 6# of fat. Not giving up my Diet Coke! Sorry/Not Sorry! Let's go! #stillgrindtime #stayhungry

I knew you could do it! I can't wait to see the progress you make this coming month. You've shown how you can do it in the past and I know you can do it again. Before you know it you're going to have to buy all new clothes!

From the research I’ve done I’d agree that at your current weight 13# in a month is doable but might be a bit hard. I don’t k is your height or activity level. There are calculators online that could tell you what would be slow, moderate, fast and really fast weight loss amounts. I stayed in the fast and moderate range for the first half of my loss then it went to slow. Not by choice lol. Great job on February’s loss! I am doing IF several days a week right now. I don’t get hungry until I eat them I’m starving all day. It’s allowed me to have my nightly snacks that I’ve been craving lately so it works for now. Once I start lifting 3x a week I’ll probably go back to eating lunch to get the protein I need for those muscles.

Ironic that I just watched a video this morning on the science behind what you should eat following an extended fast. It was really interesting and not like I see most people here do at all. I’m not a Keto person myself but I do see value in its use in a certain population of people. I’ll have to see if I can find that video again.

Hi everyone and thank you Morgan, Jimmiepop, skydiverjim, C0bby, Peeper, and Kenna for the encouragement and kudos! Yeah giving up Diet Coke was a hard one - today is day 3. Day 2 I was white knuckling it all day b/c my hunger was up! @Kenna I would be interested in that video if you can find it!
