Today is 02212021. Somehow I just want to keep saying that as if there is some cosmic meaning. For lunch I took the last 1.25 c of the yummy chicken a la king from earlier in the week (to which we had already added more frozen vegetables) and thinned it down with turkey broth to make a delicious bowl of soup that took a lot longer to eat. Tweaked some of the week’s food entries for more accurate counts. Happy enough with Week 1 considering the amount of not-great food choices in the house. Found a few more people here with similar stories to follow.

After the weight gain confirmation at the doctor’s on Friday (recorded here as the starting weight on Monday) put new batteries in the old, dusty scale but it would not turn on. This is Someone’s way of making sure that I do not obsess and stress again this time around about the daily fluctuations, setbacks and stalls on the the scale. I’m going to wait until at least next weekend to get a replacement, and then maybe I’ll weigh myself every couple of weeks.

p.s. I am loving using the app 1000% more than expected. At this point I do not need a niggling reminder about what I have or haven’t done. I just want to keep track of things like I did before, only the app has so many extra features. All the analysis is great (custom macros!), and the ability to enter tomorrow’s foods today (planning, what a concept) just to see what the numbers will be is game-changing.

Week 2, here we go. The only way forward from here is down, no matter how long it takes.
