I got rid of the last of the baby carrots this morning with breakfast! No, I did not throw them out, I ate them (hehehehe). I had two servings. I don't intend to purchase baby carrots for a while. If I purchase carrots it will be the large ones. I also don't seem to be addicted to cooked carrots so that's another way to deal with it (if I do buy carrots). My carb count was very high yesterday - almost 10g over my target. Also, my overall calorie intake was highter than normal. Result on weight is that I am up 1 lb again. My carrot craving led me to overeat on other things trying to quell the desire (see how carb addiction works? Can't let it control me!). I didn't give in to the carrots but I had a whole Avocado when I was not hungry. While it did the trick, it was not mindful eating. So, now I am back to eating mindfully and really watching the hunger cues and not the emotional ones. That is not easy, but it's part of the answer when it comes to feeding my body the way it needs to be fed.
