OK CONFESSION TIME: Wah! I am addicted to carrots!! There, I said it ... I am an addict! I fooled myself into believing I could introduce it back into my diet without too much trouble .. but it was a ball faced lie to myself. I have a small bag of PC organic baby carrots in my fridge and it is ALL I can think about - I am going absolutely mad with carrot torment!!!!

I get palpitations and butterflies when I think about eating carrots. There is nervousness and yes, I must put it all out there .. .unnatural sweating too. And ... the relish with which I eat carrots, if you could see the fireworks going on inside of me .. it would be obscene! Oh my goodness! I am an addict. What the heck is in carrots that causes this? Is it just me? What emotional hole is this horned shape, orange, root demon filling in my life?

Since it is clear I have no self control, I will have to erradicate it from my life for now .... I am not sure I can hold true to that commitment! Wah! Woe is me!
My addiction started two years ago and I went up from consuming 20 baby carrots to nearly 1 kilo per day (that's over 2 lbs). I thought perhaps the low carb I have been doing for nearly two months took care of it. WRONG!!!!

Right now, in my house, my family has white chocolate cupcakes, dark chocolate cupcakes, chocolate cheesecake, chocolates from my trip to Switzerland and a decadent mango smoothie popsicle .. and the only thing I can think about right now is the darn 1/2 bag of organic baby carrots in my refrigerator. Everything else pale in comparison to the carrots. Clearly, there is is something larger than life afoot here! In the words of a tormented Lady MacBeth "OUT DAMNED SPOT! OUT I SAY!"

Phew ... Thank God for a forum where I can put it out there and free my conscience! NOW .. what am I going to do about it???? Sheesh!!!

Not an expert but I do believe you can become addicted to anything if you over indulge on a regular basis. Your body craves an ingredient from carrots. You have to treat it accordingly. Switch to large carrots which take longer to eat then start to control your intake. I don't think they have patches for carrots.....
