8]12/11/2013 - Man o Man November and December are really hard months for me! I am back on a "DIET". I have lost over 100 lbs but never made it to my goal weight of 145. I am not going to quit or give up this time until I realize that goal. I am currently on a FAST of raw protein shakes, raw veggie juice and a quart of a Bragg ACV cocktail which consists of a quart of pure water, 1 organic lemon squeezed, 2 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and stevia to taste. Believe it or not it tastes really really good and talk about a system detox wow! It really is very cleansing and it truly depletes your hunger/appetite. As for my Protein Shake I guess it's only 90% Raw since I am using a Non-GMO protein called ISO-Rich 2-3 Tablespoons, it is all natural but has minimal processing, therefore not raw. The rest of the recipe is raw however and it consists of 3 small/medium bananas, a rounded 1/8 of a cup of raw cacao, I use Navitas Naturals. 1/2 T of Turmeric, Dandelion Root, Fenugreek, Milk Thistle, and a teaspoon of Cinnamon. 1 organic egg shell that has been boiled to stave off any bacteria, 1 Tablespoon of Flax Meal, 1/8 of a cup of Psyllium, 1-2 cups of organic Spinach, 1-2 Tablespoons of Chia Seed, 1/2 cup raw organic oats and Stevia to taste. Blend and put into 2 quart containers. My blender has a 64 ounce carafe so sometime I have to add a bit of water to fill my containers fully. That's OK because they are still very thick and served over ice are very tasty. This adds up to about 800-850 calories the veggie juice about 100 and I finish off the night with a bowl of Organic Peas pureed into a warm soup... I use a little curry powder and water to make it soup and I'm good to go. BTW The shakes are very smooth and not gritty at all. I do blend then well because I like then creamy and smooth, Also I wrote this as much for me as for anyone else who may be in the market for a good high protein low fat liquid fast. I am hoping I will accomplish my goal within 20 days but if it takes a few more days I think I am getting sufficient nutrients to stay healthy.
