Okay, so I've been doing what I need to do, I weighed in on Tuesday, November 3, 2010. Today Friday, November 5, 2010 I decided to get on the scale again just for kicks. I mean, it's only three days until I do another official weigh in. The scale read 169.5, but on Tuesday it read 171.5 (I hate that it rounds up). How could I have lost two pounds in three days? Is it because my period ended and the water weight rescinded? I'm confused and of course, me being me, I'm going to be afraid of the scale again. I'm going to post this question on both my challenges that I'm involved in because I'm down right confused. The scale is my nemesis so if this is a fluke then my upcoming weigh in on Tuesday November 9th could be very disappointing.

I found this online about a month ago. "The scale gives us an incomplete snapshot of what's happening with our bodies. Our bodies are comprised of 55-75% water, weight can fluctuate on a daily or even an hourly basis due to fluid changes. Atmospheric pressure, humidity, salt intake and medications can akk contribute to water retention therefore a shift in weight."

Thanks Sydney. I really hate being a slave to the scale. I FINALLY measured my waist and hips so maybe I'll start looking to that when the scale turns against me. That way I will know that my hard work is paying off. I also want to try and remember that a slip is NOT the end of the world. I appreciate the encouragement. You are my fatsecret twin sister LOL.

You can do it! Stay motivated and allow yourself a treat every so often. The WW ice cream bar is really good and only 2 points. After a slip, just try and eat right the next meal. Or wake up to a new day and follow your plan. I am traveling for business- so this week is hard. To eat right, to exercise, to sleep- I've been up since four am. I am on my old time zone. I did not get to exercise Sunday as I was packing, doing laundry, etc. And yesterday, I got extemely tired from the plane ride. So my goal is to work out first thing today at 6.
