Day 1 fasting is okay so far. I'll probably have a 2nd cup of black coffee around dinner time when I make my hubby and son's food. I did have 1 electrolyte drink (made for fasting) before we went to work out. Still only felt like doing the treadmill so that's what I did. Then my favorite red light therapy. Hopefully the muscle spasms will stop soon since my back has been shooting pains again. Red light helps but does take some time. Workout tomorrow will probably be treadmill again.

I fast a lot. Ironically I do not drink a lot of water. Electrolyte supplements are what is important. Good luck!

Thanks. I try to fast at least once a week (or used to) but only for 40 hours. I usually drink 128 oz of water per day but not the electrolytes. I did make sure to pick them up for this slightly longer fast. Yay, my GKI is 1.0. Glucose is 88 after 26 hours of not eating. Ketone level is 4.6 which is quite high. But as long as my blood sugars are under 240 and ketones are under 5.0 it's still ketosis and not ketoacidosis (both have to be elevated for that) I'm going to continue testing to make sure.
