Gained two pounds-well duh. French fries washed down by wine with mac and cheese as an app is a recipe for disaster and I am reaping what I sow. Yuch!!

I am wearing a pair of junior size jeans I have not worn in 4 yrs and they are too big! I am taking this as an omen to mend my ways and strive for the golden goal.

Halloween Schmalloween. The only good part is candy and I am not handing any out as I cannot be trusted. Today is the anniversary of the death of my best friend. She was killed in a plane crash on her way home to take her kids trick or treating. It's been 16 yrs and I miss her dearly. Her "babies' are now a junior in college and a high school senior. They are wonderful young women and I am grateful to be part of their lives. Tonight, when it's safe to return home, I'll light a candle and meditate.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. No matter how much time passes, the ones closest to our hearts are always missed. I'm sure it's a hard time for her children too, even if they are grown. French Fries and wine, eh? hmmmm never tried that combo before! I'm sure you'll lose that 2 pounds in no time. Especially if your not eating any halloween candy like the rest of us! mmmmm... woppers. my fav.

Wow...what happened to your friend is a terrible tragedy. It's great that you involved in the lives of her children. One of my greatest fears was that I would die before getting to see my daughter grow up. As far as halloween, I live out in the country and get no trick or treaters. Therefore, no candy to tempt me! Hang in there, get back on track, and those two pounds will be gone before you know it! :)

Sorry about the 2 pounds, but if your jeans are loose it can't be that bad! I'm sure those pounds won't stick around long. It's great that you can be there for your friend's children after such a horrible event. I'm sure it means a lot to them.

I am with mbhpro I live in the country so no trick-or-treaters but I do have to resist my kids bags. So sorry about your friend. It is nice to light that candle and remember the time you shared. Don't worry about that 2 lbs you will have it off in no time plus more.

Im sorry about losing your friend. Sometimes I think that it serves to remind us how precious life us and how important the people we care about really are to us. Sometimes we take our relationships and friendships for granted, then something reminds us... like you just did, to treasure the moments. I think I’ll call my best friend today, just to let her know Im thinking of her and love her. Thanks for reminding me. Now about those two pounds, I am firmly convinced because of my own personal experimentation that when we have a gain like that, as long as we get right back on track and make absolutely the best choices we can, veggies, lean meat protein and stick to a good choice remainder of the week, not only will that two pounds disappear but it might take one of their friends with them. I love it when that happens! Let’s see if the same is true with you, I’ll bet it is. Good job staying away from the candy. We give our candy to the neighbor to pass out for us... and we go out to a movie and supper and stay away. Nothing to tempt us.
