So far so good in the whole trying to lose weight department but my goal seems so daunting. I look at it and think to myself if I am every going to be at the weight I want to be at. How long will it take!!! venting here.

If it seems too much, maybe you should set mini goals for yourself--maybe 10lbs, and once you get over that hump, set a new one. Hope you find what works for you! You're doing great! Good luck!

I think you will be thrilled each time you discover you are a new size! I lost 20 lbs before I was able to go down a size..but...when I did finally get rid of those too big clothes I was actually down two sizes!! thats such a thrill. So set your goals to get into the next size down. Don't wait too long to try on a smaller size. If you have any in the house just keep trying the next size down on once a week. You will be able to notice a difference... couldn't get the zipper to meet at all...then zipper is getting closer to meeting... then zips up if I lay down on my back and force it togheter...then ..yes!! it zips easily. all those things help you feel more encouraged. You'll look better and feel better. Baby steps will get you to your goal! also.. don't forget you need to experience some Turkish meal before end of Friday (Cruise director taking over here)... see you on deck!!

I just want to say you've done fantastic so far... so keep up the great work! It's hard I know, but try not to look at how much weight in total you still need to lose... just keep that focus instead on how much you've already lost and those losses will very soon add up to a whole lot more. ;o) Remember slow and steady wins that race and you CAN honestly one day make that 70lbs loss. Little more than a year ago I was still very much at the start of my own journey, never really believing that I would one day make my own goal... let alone surpass it! But I lost the same amount of weight as you want to... so just keep taking one day at a time and you WILL get there eventually. ;o)

Yes I echo all the comments above. It's taken me a year to lose 20ish pounds and more importantly NOT to gain them plus more back! Congratulations on your achievement so far! Venting is okay-I am a big fan of a good clearing of the air, of saying out loud what you fear....as long as you use it to gain fresh perspective and renewed commitment. Hang in there and I promise you will continue to see results.
